PRODUCT INFORMATION

WiseStrand is hair dye + shampoo + conditioner 3-in-1, dyeing and washing your hair at the same time.  WiseStrand contains fewer chemical ingredients than many products in the market but higher concentrations of natural ingredients to nourish your hair.  It contains no Ammonia (corrosive to respiratory system), Paraben (increase risk of breast cancer) or toluene-2,5-diamine (cancer agent suspect).  DIY at home with WiseStrand as it is very easy to use and budget-friendly.

Yes, WiseStrand is notified with KKM.  You can check it out at NPRA Product Search page under cosmetic category.  It is important to use products which are notified with KKM to ensure good manufacturing quality, the chemical ingredients are safe for use, and being legal. 

No, it’s not all natural. Most hair dyes contain chemical ingredients though they may be labelled as natural.

All-natural hair dyes take a long time to dye. Not all chemicals are bad. We just need to look out for the more harmful ones.

Yes. It is 100% vegan.

WiseStrand contains 5 fruit and herbal ingredients to nourish your hair.  It is not so important to have organic ingredients for hair dye since it is for external use, not like food for consumption.  The so-called organic hair dyes may also contain a list of chemical ingredients.

If it is accidentally spilled on your skin, just rinse it off immediately. If there’s any stain, not to worry it will fade away in a day or so.  Only the black colour can leave visible stain.

The Argan Oil moisturizes the hair and scalp.   Some customers find their hair soft after washing, then additional conditioner is unnecessary.  If your hair feels dry, just use conditioner after washing.

It is founded by a Malaysian Chemical Engineer, manufactured in China with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO22716 certification.

WiseStrand is founded after going through stringent ingredient selection. Noni strengthens hair follicles.  Studies have found Ginseng, Polygonum Multiflorum (Heshouwu) and Ganoderma Lucidum (Lingzhi) to reduce hair loss and even promote hair growth.  Refer PubMed articles PMID: 30208587, 26294926 & 26571086.

Everybody’s skin is different.  As for all hair dyes it is recommended to do a patch allergy test before using.  

WiseStrand does not contain any chemical ingredients which could be cancer suspect agent or increase risk of cancer such as Toluene-2,5-diamine or Paraben, which some other hair dyes might contain.  It should be safe for anyone to use but not for those under the age of 16.

PRODUCT USAGE

Basically, just apply like shampoo.

Step 1 – Wet your hair and dry it with towel.

Step 2 – Wear gloves provided.

Step 3 – Dispense the hair colour shampoo (both colourant and developer together) on your palms and mix well.

Step 4 – Apply sufficient amount to cover all your hair. Apply evenly on your hair and roots.  Leave on hair for 10 or 20 minutes according to the label for each colour.

Step 5 – Wash, rinse hair and dry it.

WiseStrand is semi-permanent type but long lasting.  How long it lasts also depends on individual as some people’s hair grey faster.  It typically may last for several weeks.

Semi-permanent type generally contains less and/or lower concentrations of harsh chemical ingredients.

No mixing to ratio is needed. Just mix the hair colour shampoo on your palms before applying on your hair.

Yes, it can be applied on dry hair but with wet hair it can be applied more evenly.

YES! If you prefer darker brown you can mix the black with the chestnut brown to get a darker shade of brown.

PRODUCT SAFETY

Wisestrand hair colour shampoo contains fewer chemical ingredients to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.  As for all hair dyes, it is recommended to perform a patch test before using it.  Patch test is an easy way to help predict if you would have a negative initial reaction to a new product.

  1. Select a small area of skin about the size of a penny, preferably behind the ear or in the inner fold of your elbow.
  2. Wash the test area with soap and water, then pat dry with a clean towel.
  3. Place a thin coating of Wisestrand hair colour shampoo upon the test area.
  4. Allow the dye to dry for 24 hours, uncovered and undisturbed.
  5. Examine the test area for any signs of irritation. If there is a negative reaction, then the product should not be used.
  • Not for internal use, do not ingest.  Keep out of the reach of small children.
  • Protect your skin from staining by applying shea butter, coconut oil, or thick hair conditioner to your hairline and over the ears.  Wear gloves when applying.
  • Do not use for eyebrows or eyelashes.  Avoid contact with eyes.  If contact with eyes occurs, rinse out with warm water immediately.
